He was breathing heavily and holding his shoulder. Elle awoke just before dawn. She had rolled onto her stomach in the night and had her limbs sprawled every which way on the bed. With Mias provided more than adequate warmth, the covers were pushed to the edge of the bed. Yet Elle now felt strangely cold. She tilted her head up and noticed her smock was on the floor with the rest of the clothes Abernos had given her. She then glanced at Mias who had his head nestled against the arch of her back.
